Jedidah Kariuki Faculty Recently Attended a Training at The National Museums of Kenya

Staff training is essential for effective and efficient delivery of services. Jedidah Kariuki a technologist in the faculty recently attended a training at the National Museums of Kenya which involved identification and barcoding of fresh water invertebrates. This training entailed identification of various insects that are majorly found in aquatic environments and also how to identify them at their various stages using barcoding method developed by the University of Florida and Randolph Macon college. The training would be beneficial I teaching laboratory practicals in entomology, aquatic survey techniques, insect collection techniques, identification and clustering in to their various genus and species.
